PIKIN BIZNESS & ECO-BANK SAVES LIFE
The precious life of Wisdom Clive Porter a new born baby could have been lost, if it had not been for the timely intervention of Pikin Bizness a humanitarian organization supporting the welfare of children in collaboration with Eco-Bank to pay for his referral surgery and medication in Ghana.
The surgery fee was USD $1,500 and Eco Bank provided USD$500.00 five hundred United States Dollars while Pikin Bizness paid the balance money for the surgery as a result of AWOKO publication about the suffering child. The child was suffering from hydrocephalous but could not get treatment in Sierra Leone due to lack of proper medical facilities but with the successful intervention of Pikin Bizness and Eco-Bank a successful surgery was performed at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana. The mother of the child Olive Porter told Awoke upon her return that the operation lasted 3 hrs 30mins without any complications and the doctor who performed the surgery was very satisfied with it.
Olive Porter said the doctor is deeply impressed with the operation and the way her baby is responding to treatment. She also said the child’s head has been decreasing daily after the surgery was performed and that water in the baby’s head is discharging into his stomach and comes out as waste product through urine. Olive Porter also stated that her baby has improved significantly since the surgery was performed and there has not been any report of fever or other pains. She added that the baby has been responding to all the treatment provided by the Doctor.
“We spent five days in Ghana and all was well with me and my baby, she said.” Olive Porter expressed gratitude to Pikin Bizness and Eco- Bank for their support.
