This facility covers over five thousand people and as such, the important equipment’s needed to carry out basic procedures are not most often readily available.
This according to them is a huge challenge in caring out their duties smoothly. As such, most cases are referred to the Lumley health center.
This is not a good practice because it causes the community people to lose confidence in their competencies and also encourages high maternal and infant mortality rate in the community.
Often times, the community people especially pregnant woman refuses to come to the health facility due to unavailability and accessibility of basic health care facilities.
The nurse in charge, Josephine M. Juju was so delighted to receive the equipment’s.
She expressed, this donation is very much important for the facility and we appreciate
Dr. Abboud and team for their timely consideration.
In conclusion, the nurses promised to take very good care of all equipment’s received and use them for its rightful purposes.
Thanks to Dr. Adonis Abboud for his relentless effort towards humanity in Sierra Leone.
